Trust

You stay in control of your conversations and data.

From masking to retention periods: Ipster is built to shield sensitive data, keep the agent in its role and leave you in control.

Privacy and guardrails

Sensitive data and behaviour under control

You switch on per agent what you need. Everything is off by default.

Mask sensitive data

The privacy filter masks national ID numbers, IBANs, credit cards, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth in the transcript, the logs, the analysis and outgoing webhooks. You add your own patterns with a regular expression. A plain order number is not masked unnecessarily.

Also keep it from the AI

Hide chosen categories from the language model too. With the Verify identity tool, the agent checks for example a date of birth without the AI ever seeing the value.

The agent stays in its role

Protection against manipulation makes the agent ignore attempts to change its instructions, reveal its system prompt or pretend to be another system.

Abuse filter

For persistent abusive or threatening behaviour, you choose what the agent does: set boundaries kindly and carry on, or end the call politely.

Retention periods per organisation

Set per organisation how long transcripts and analysis, recordings and chat and WhatsApp messages are kept. After the period, Ipster deletes the content automatically every night.

AI notice under the AI Act

The agent says at the start of the conversation that it is an AI, in the language of the conversation, and never claims to be a human. That applies on all channels and cannot be switched off.

Access and control

You decide who sees and does what

Permissions per role

A separate permission decides who sees transcripts and recordings. A team member only sees the agents an administrator has ticked for them.

Activity log

See who did what and when, including logins.

Temporary recording links

Recording links in the app and in the webhook are signed and valid for a limited time.

Secrets stay on the server

Secret headers and query parameters of your custom webhook are stored on the server only and are not visible in the browser.

Control over AI assistants

An administrator decides per organisation whether AI assistants may connect and up to which level. Changes from an assistant are always prepared as a draft.

Revoke instantly

Revoke a connection with an AI assistant and the access is gone immediately.

Processing

Where is data processed?

The combination of speech recognition, voice and language model determines where data is processed. For those who want to process everything in Europe, there are European components. If you choose other providers, processing depends on that provider. If you have a requirement for the processing location, choose deliberately and put your combination to us.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about trust and privacy at Ipster.

No. The privacy filter, keeping data from the AI, protection against manipulation and the abuse filter are off by default. You switch on per agent what you need. A setting applies to new conversations from the moment you switch it on.

No. The privacy filter works on text: the transcript, the logs, the analysis and outgoing webhooks. The recording still contains the spoken data. That is why you should set a retention period for recordings.

No. Anyone talking to an AI must know that at the start of the conversation. Ipster has built the notice into the platform, for all channels and languages, also for outbound calls. This is not legal advice. If you have doubts about your contracts or data processing agreement, have someone who knows your contracts look at it.

Ipster deletes the content automatically every night, per type: transcripts and analysis, recordings, and chat and WhatsApp messages. Deletion is permanent. Usage, costs and statistics remain, so the conversation stays in your overviews, but without content.

That depends on the role. There is a separate permission for transcripts and recordings. A team member only sees the agents an administrator has ticked for them. In the activity log you see who did what and when.

What the assistant retrieves, such as transcripts and recordings, goes to the AI provider you use yourself. That is outside the Ipster environment. Choose the level deliberately when connecting and start with read only.
