What you can do

No need to open the dashboard: ask a question or give an instruction in the tool you already use.

    You log in with your own account and choose the organisation and what the assistant may do.

This works in Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code and other environments that support MCP, among others. You need an Ipster account.

Does your environment have no login screen, such as n8n or Cursor? Then create a key in Ipster under Organisation, API keys, and choose the type for AI assistants.

You log in with your own Ipster account through OAuth 2.1 and PKCE and choose for which organisation and up to which level.

Never more rights than you

The assistant can never do more than you are allowed to do in Ipster yourself. Reading or changing a prompt requires prompt permission.

Nothing live without approval

Changes are prepared as a draft. Only at the Full level can an assistant set something live, and those actions ask for confirmation.

Administrators stay in charge

An administrator decides per organisation whether AI assistants may connect and up to which level. That also applies to existing connections.

You can trace what the assistant retrieved or changed.

Revoke instantly

Revoke a connection and the assistant loses access immediately.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is a standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT talk to other systems safely. With the Ipster connector, Ipster is the MCP server for your assistant.

They are two directions. With the connector, your AI assistant uses Ipster. With the MCP tool in an agent, your Ipster agent uses the tools of another server during a conversation, for example through Composio or n8n. You can use both side by side.

No. Changes are always prepared as a draft first. Only at the Full level can the assistant set a draft live or start an outbound call, and those actions are marked as impactful, so most assistants ask for confirmation first.

Read only, read and propose, and full. A higher level includes everything from the lower ones. An administrator can set a highest level per organisation.

What the assistant retrieves, such as transcripts and recordings, goes to the AI provider you use yourself. That is outside the Ipster environment. That is why you choose the level and rights deliberately. Recording links are valid for 1 hour.

Yes. As a partner, the assistant sees the organisation you choose and the customers under it. What you set as a partner applies to your customers, unless they change it themselves.
